How to Test Make.com Webhooks Without Waiting for External Data

One of the most frustrating parts of building Make.com automations is the “Waiting for data…” screen. You click Run Once, wait for an external service to fire a webhook, and hope the data arrives. Make Webhook Tester puts you in control.

Getting Started

  1. Install Make Webhook Tester from the Chrome Web Store
  2. Click the extension icon to open the testing interface
  3. Paste your Make webhook URL (hook.us1.make.com/…)
  4. Write your JSON payload and hit Send

The extension defaults to POST with a JSON body and automatically sets the Content-Type header, which prevents the common issue of Make receiving JSON as an unparsed string.
